My name is Karen and I am the face behind Karen Sosa Wedding Photography. I was raised in New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment. I am married and have three beautiful Children.

I have been married for over 19 years. In the course of those 19 years we have lived in: Washington, California, Virginia, Hawaii, and Connecticut. We have been to such beautiful places! My husband is in the Navy, its not always easy but I have been fortunate to meet some amazing people along the way.

I purchased my first camera in 2009 after taking a photography class in college. For years it has been a hobby of mine. I would take my camera everywhere in hopes of capturing some wonderful memories. I always found myself going out with my camera to capture a beautiful sunset, or capture the moments when my children were playing together and not fighting.

Let’s fast forward to 2022, it was a terrible year for us. Everything that could go wrong with a Navy move, happened to us. I felt very defeated in many ways. So as we started 2023 I told my self I would do things that made me happy. I put a lot of thought into it and I always come back to photography.

I did my first engagement session in February and I’ve been doing elopements. I have done some styled shoots to work on my skills as well. In photographing different genres I have found my home, WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY. Call me sentimental, but I love a good love story. Capturing the love that two people share makes my heart so happy.

What is the saying “do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life”. When I’m editing couples photos I am smiling so much, and I’m happy doing it. I truly love what I do and I cannot wait to show you all the amazing couples I get to meet along the way!
